How is Matcha Different from other Green Tea?

Although both Matcha Green Tea and other common brands of green tea are made from the same plant viz. Camellia sinensis, but still their color, texture, preparation procedure are all different.

So the differences which make Matcha Green Tea better than others are: -

Matcha Green Tea

   Texture: Matcha green tea is in powdered form and is very smooth and fine textured powder whereas ordinary green tea is rough to touch.

    Flavour: Matcha Green Tea tastes better than other green tea which taste bitter.

 Color: Matcha green tea is of vibrant green color which shows the more composition of chlorophyll pigment in leaves that are used in making Matcha green tea unlike the dull brown colored green tea leaves.

   Manufacturing procedures: Matcha green tea is in powdered form made by grinding the leafs only after the removal of veins and stem parts unlike ordinary green tea which are made by brewing procedures.

   Nutritional contents: Matcha is really very rich in nutrition as compared to the ordinary green tea due to its non-brewing type of processing whereas green tea lose its nutrition in all the processing of manufacturing.

  Antioxidants : Matcha green tea has 137X more antioxidants like ECGC, tannins, L-theanine etc than green tea.

     Preparation : Matcha green tea gets properly mixed with water at 79°C,hence retaining its nutrients while green tea mix with water at 100°C so, destroying its advantages.

So, From all the above information its is clear that Matcha Green Tea powder is much beneficial than other green tea.
