Regular green tea and a matcha green tea Both contain caffeine but in a less amount then the black coffee or black tea. But it has more content of caffeine than the regular green tea.
It contains more EGCG. A test on the matcha tea gives the result that it provides 17 mg to 109 mg Of EGCG per serving. But the regular green tea provides only 20 to 86 mg per serving. The matcha tea powder contains more caffeine as compared to the regular brewed green teas. The matcha tea powder cost $2.31 for about 200 MG of EGCG. As compared matcha tea bags provide less EGCG content.
